ounded in 1937, the Dallas Citizens Council is an organization of civic-minded business leaders in the greater Dallas metropolitan area. Its membership is comprised of CEOs and other executives of the area’s most prominent businesses, including minority- and women-owned companies.

The Citizens Council has historically championed issues that make Dallas a better place. As we move forward, the challenge is to combine our efforts with others and find even more ways to enrich our community. We know we do not live in a vacuum, so we must build on the strengths of our organization and our members – in concert with others – to create a more vibrant city.
In 2008, we will be called upon to make Dallas public schools and public healthcare systems a priority. As we have in the past, we will rise to the challenge and encourage others to join us.
